Magician Characteristics
Magicians freely cast offensive Black Magic and defensive White Magic spells. Enemies may laugh at their physical attacks, but tremble in fear when their MP is fully charged. A Magician's powerful magic includes spells that can wipe out enemies over a wide area; spells like Lightning Bolt and Reverse Gravity. Enemies that allow a Magician to charge their MP will realize just how powerful Arme’s magic is.
Mages mainly use magic to fight, have very few melee attacks, and are very vulnerable in close range.
Currently, Mages are very weak to arrows as they are the only class, besides archers themselves, to not have defense against arrows besides their magic shield, which can only withstand 1-2 arrows. Mage's skill tree currently gives them Arrow defense, but only for a certain amount of time.
Magician Skills
General
Arme is a basic Magician in battle.
Arme has a special ability known as "Meditation", to recover MP. Must be standing still and not being attacked.
Unlike all other characters, Arme always starts & respawns with 1.5 of the maximum MP. Whenever a magician starts combat, she instantly activates a magic shield, even if the magician does not have that skill prepared.
First character to have 2 sets of skills: Black Magic and White Magic.
Has a Magic Square (or Circle), which pushes targets back.
Knows Firebolt, which is a bolt made of Fire. This move can easily be repeated.
Her Earth Wave ability stuns opponents and gives a few invincible frames to the Magician, which can lead to a delay grab. It can be used to juggle certain opponents.
It is quite an uncommon ability that a character can obtain more than 6 skills. A Magician actually has 12 (if you buy all 6 cash skills).
Black Magic = 3, White Magic = 3, Cashed Black = 3, Cashed White = 3, Total = 12.
Black Magic
Lv.1 Skill - Stone Curse [ Preview ]
Magician’s 1st grade Black Magic spell that turns enemies into stone. In PvP, the victim is trapped but also invulnerable for the duration of petrification.
* Has a wide range and attack strength, and therefore is favored by many Magicians.
* Can be followed by other moves such as Earth Wave to create combo attacks.
* Is very effective at countering enemy air attacks, and is useful when enemies attempt to jump towards Arme.(Dungeon)
* Be warned that if an attack is being used against the caster, it will automatically stop the spell.
* Pressing the left and right keys quickly and accurately will reduce the damage dealt by this spell. The more that said keys are pressed alternatively, the weaker the damage when the spell ends.
Lv.2 Skill - Lightning Bolt [ Preview ]
Mage’s 2nd grade Black Magic spell that shoots a long lightning bolt straight toward the user’s front. The bolt’s direction can be raised or lowered while it is cast, and the bolt reaches all the way to the other end of the screen.
* It is very effective for maps designed in a straight line, and can be followed by other skills to create combo attacks.
* Can be useful for holding down opponents in team games.
* Note that the Lightning will hit you on a platform above or below near the Wand.
* Depending on the range of Arme's lightning bolt, there is a possibility of countering. If the enemy are far enough from the caster, you can counter. However, the enemy cannot counter if he/she is too close to the caster.
Lv.3 Skill - Meteor [ Preview ]
Mage’s 3rd grade Black Magic spell that is considered the most powerful attack spell. It summons meteors with a full map range.
* Meteor’s explosion spots are limited to the same height of the user. Lower enemies may not be effective if cast at the upper part of the map, and vice versa. Mages usually cast Meteor spells at the lowest part of the map, or at the same level as the majority of the enemies.
* Meteor can't be dodged easily, except by using a skill or hiding at a lower elevation.
White Magic
Lv.1 Skill - Magic Shield [ Preview ]
Mage's 1st grade White Magic spell that casts a magic shield around the user. The magic shield disappears when it’s inflicted with a certain amount of damage, and its defense strength does not increase if the user’s level and defense strength are increased. Therefore, the shield can be broken by one hit if the attacker is high-leveled.
* Magic Shields can protect its user from becoming frozen, and from getting killed from 5 hit combo attacks.
* The shield’s true purpose is to provide an opportunity for the caster to counterattack, or evade enemy attacks after performing a skill with a long delay.
* Arme automatically starts every game with a shield active.
* Be warned that when using a skill, the user's shield can actually still be destroyed.
* Magic Shield has a great amount of delay, so it can lead to grabs.
* Should the user be attacked during casting, the spell will automatically cancel.
Lv.2 Skill - Reverse Gravity [ Preview ]
Mage's 2nd grade White Magic spell that enables the user to change the gravity and attack enemies by launching them high in the air, and then forcefully crashing them to the ground. This skill has a 100% success rate on enemies perpendicular to the user.
* It is very useful against agile foes. Also useful against ranged foes(PVP)
* Reverse Gravity lifts up targets into the air, stalling them. Activates with no delay.
* Has infinite vertical range.
* Useful against nearby targets, but they can run away from it before full activation.
Lv.3 Skill - Cure [ Preview ]
Mage's 3rd grade White Magic spell that enables the user to spin and move while shooting heart signs that will restore a decent amount of HP to allies within close range. This skill’s effect is not affected by the user’s level and stats, unlike Combat Alchemist's Cure.
* Activates with no delay.
* Skill has a set path of healing vitality. (?)
* Recommended this skill is used on targets that have a vitality of less than 200.
* Cure does not affect the user.
Black Magic (Cash)
Lv.1 Cash Skill - Dark Cloud [ Preview ]
Immediately damages a target, and then continues to inflict damage for this skill's duration each time the opponent's attack key is pressed.
* Shoots 3 Bolts which flow in a zigzag line. Bolts move slowly.
* Causes Cursing if the target is hit.
Lv.2 Cash Skill - Home of Darkness [ Preview ]
Confuses its target upon casting. The target's right and left keys are temporarily switched if this skill is successful.
* Shoots a large ghastly, evil-looking Skull which also moves in a zigzag line. Moves quite quickly.
* Causes Confusion if hit.
* Has near infinite horizontal range
Lv.3 Cash Skill - Fire Storm [ Preview ]
Strikes the ground to make lava pillars gush out from your left and right sides to inflict damage on a target.
* This skill does the most damage out of all level 3 skills on one target, despite being used by a 1st job character.
* Fire Storm cannot be countered.
White Magic (Cash)
Lv.1 Cash Skill - Shining Arrow [ Preview ]
Shoot a powerful light arrow at a target.
* It will only strike the target once with an arrow.
* It shoots in a straight line.
Lv.2 Cash Skill - Athena's Sword [ Preview ]
Doubles normal damage of the whole party for 30 seconds.
* Due to its infinite range, this skill is extremely lethal.
* It was banned from the recent Grand Chase World Tournament.

Alchemist Characteristics
Arme's second job, the "Combat Alchemist", is a unique class that plays in a style much unlike the other classes of Grand Chase. They wield the Alchemy Pot, which Arme can use to create things or hit opponents with. Although it is often labeled as the "Support Class", it can be effective in both offensive and defensive play. Offensively, they can create toxic gas, lay mines, and toss bombs. Skilled Alchemists will often strive for instant kill combos that take advantage of their second black magic skill, "Cloud Kill", and its unique properties. They can play defensively with the use of their white magic, which cures allies, creates barriers, or makes useful items. A defensive alchemist will also be seen strategically tossing bombs to protect their teammates and force opponents to counter.
The Alchemist is, however, a largely underused class due to the relative simplicity and power of Arme's other classes. It has few ways to do damage, usually relying on "Cloud Kill" and combos involving its dash attack. Fast, offensive players, including Dark Assassins and skilled Sentinels often cause problems for Alchemists, moving into close range and taking advantage of Arme's low defense. An Alchemist's greatest weakness is, arguably, Lire, because it does not possess a standard form of arrow defense, whereas Mage, Warlock and Battlemage have ways to protect themselves from them.
For dungeon use, the Alchemist is often overshadowed by Arme's other classes. Although its curing and item making abilities are useful, "Cloud Kill" is significantly more powerful in PvP. Most are forced to resort to dash attacking to defeat monsters, as frequent use of bombs can annoy teammates, as they cause them to jump. However, in terms of curative power, Alchemist is second to none. MP restore items can also be used to kill bosses very quickly, giving the entire team a full bar of MP.
The Alchemist gains greatly improved speed and mobility from Arme's skill tree's passive skills. Three skills improve dashing abilities, making them more unpredictable. One skill refills MP after being hit by multiple arrows, and a last skill allows the user to sacrifice HP for MP. While these skills are often useful, the dashes carry the drawbacks of a shorter invulnerable period and an inability to perform a dash attack while dashing backwards or vertically.
Despite its flaws, the Alchemist retains a small but dedicated following, thanks to its different and interesting play style. It is arguably one of the hardest classes to master, requiring accurate prediction ability for offense, and great knowledge of all characters in order to support them effectively. With practice, the Combat Alchemist can be a very powerful fighter and a valuable teammate.

Alchemist Skills
General
An Alchemist's primary attack is to toss and plant bombs. Bombs plant onto the ground, and explode after time. When the user or an ally is hit by an explosion, it forces them to jump upwards.
Bombs thrown while jumping will explode slightly more quickly than bombs placed on the ground with the normal bomb combo.
Physical contact made with a thrown bomb will not do any damage, but will still cause the opponent to flinch, which may cause a counter.
Bombs can also be used to propel users, by dashing immediately as a bomb explodes, taking advantage of the forced jump caused by the bomb.
Aside from grabs, an Alchemist's only physical attack is her dash attack, which causes her to spin her pot around herself twice, causing great damage. It can often hit multiple times, particularly if the opponent is in the air.
A dash attack cannot be used following a vertical or backwards dash. A bomb will be thrown instead.
When jumping, there is a significant lag as Arme prepares to jump. This is avoided by dashing before every jump, greatly increasing speed.
The Alchemist is often considered to be a support character, but can be very effective in both supportive and offensive play.
Black Magic
Lvl.1 Skill - Bomb Drop
(Grade 1) Alchemist’s 1st grade Black Magic spell enables the user to set an invisible land mine which automatically explodes after a set time period, or when touched by an opponent. Also known as Booby Trap.
* Instantly activates with no delay.
* The bomb drop is invisible, so it can be hard to find out where the bomb's location is.
* Traps can be used to instantly finish opponents on maps like Gorge of Oath, where the explosion may cause them to fall to their death.
* A person with a Reflect item equipped can walk over the trap, turn it visible to the reflector and not the Alchemist, and make it harm her.
Lvl.2 Skill - Killer Cloud
(Grade 2) Alchemist’s 2nd grade Black Magic spell summons a toxic cloud that can slow down and damage enemies. Also known as Cloud Kill.
* The cloud provides haste effects and damage over time.
* The damage increases when the target is closer to the center of the cloud.
* Recommended for use against groups or in clustered battles.
* Occasionally causes monsters to use a special ability.
* Most delay effects are lengthened for victims of the cloud. Therefore, a well-timed delay will often cause the victim to freeze in place, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
* If someone with the reflect item active enters the cloud, most of the gaseous effects will disappear, indicating that the cloud has been reflected, and will now harm the alchemist and her teammates.
Lvl.3 Skill - Blockbuster Explosion
(Grade 3) Alchemist’s 3rd grade Black Magic spell shoots 3 powerful bombs, causing huge explosions around enemies. Also known as Big Bomb.
* The bombs are shot in an arcing trajectory.
* Unlike regular bombs, they instantly explode on contact.
* Each bomb deals multiple hits of damage with the explosion, so it cannot be countered at certain ranges.
* Damage is greatly improved in Dungeon mode as opposed to PvP.
White Magic
Lvl.1 Skill - Cure
(Grade 1) Alchemist’s 1st grade White Magic spell restores the HP of friendly targets within the skill’s range.
* Creates a lengthy delay with a large range, making it useful for delay and attack strategies.
* Is more efficient than Mage's Cure skill, only requiring one bar of MP to the Mage's three.
* Can easily be repeated.
* Does not affect the user herself.
Lvl.2 Skill - Magic Shield
(Grade 2) Alchemist’s 2nd grade White Magic spell casts a magic shield around friendly targets within the skill’s range.
* Same thing as Mage's Magic Shield, but only protects allies, rather than user.
* This shield protects a player from a fixed amount of damage, generally only good for protection against stunning combos.
* It may be useful when allies are close together, but is rather impractical in a battle situation.
Lvl.3 Skill - Make Item
(Grade 3) Alchemist’s 3rd grade White Magic spell randomly creates items from the Alchemist’s pot. It has a chance of generating useful battle items, but is entirely based on luck. This skill might not always be reliable in battle!
* Creates a random item.
* Items that can be created are Angel Wings, Invincible, HP Restore, MP Restore, Haste, Invisibility, Reflect, and gold. See Item Mode.
* It can create items even in "No Item Mode" and dungeons.
* Lag often causes items to duplicate, allowing two or more players to collect the same item.
Cash Skills
Lvl.1 Skill - Big Hand
(Grade 1 Black Magic) Call giant hands from the pot to attack the target. The target will be thrown far away horizontally with some vertical height. Also known as Giant Punch.
* The punch will send targets flying very far away.
* When the target hits a wall, they will stop, but retain their vertical movement. This allows simple combos to be used on victims as they fall.
* If used on an opponent within a cloud, the delay lengthening effect of the cloud will take precedence over the launch, resulting in the opponent being frozen for a few seconds before being launched away.

What is a Warlock?
As the forces of darkness grow stronger, their soldiers become more menacing and ruthless, and their attacks against the innocent of the Bermesiah Continent grow more brutal and frequent. Although the Mages of the Violet Mage Guild have done everything in their power to exterminate all the monsters, they are vastly outnumbered and suffer from a critical weakness: Mages must rest to recharge their mana after casting their spells.
The greatest Mage of the Violet Mage Guild discovered that they can convert their own mana to cast powerful spells if they form contracts with spirits. However, the spirits are particular about who they work with and join hands only with Mages of exceptional power and character. These Mages are known as Warlocks.

Warlock Skills
General
Warlocks do not rely on their MP anymore. They rely on their Spiritual Forces.
The Spirits Sylph, Undine, and Salamander aid the Warlock from inside the Lamp. To charge a Lesser Spirit, players only need to tap Z once. To create a Greater Spirit, players need to hit Z again. While a spirit is charged, it is impossible to turn around without jumping to change which way you are facing. Warlocks walk backwards and forwards while in their Charging Stance, and their movement speed is slightly reduced.
Sylph
* Sylph Mirror: This Lesser Spirit move deflects certain Ranged Attacks like arrows and Fire Bolts. Sylph Mirror does not deflect Archer's "Hunter Stance" arrows. To activate this, press Back-Back while you have a Lesser Spirit charged. Example: Assuming you are facing to the right, you hit left-left.
o Although there is no Sylph Greater Spirit, pressing back-back while a Greater Spirit is charged cancels the charging procedure.
Undine
* Lesser Undine Spirit: Shoots 3 water crystals upward. Note that the crystals do not go on the direction you are facing. They arc backwards a little, making your attack useless against enemies that are a good distance in front of you. To activate Undine Spirits, players press forward-forward. Example: Assuming you are facing to the right, you hit right-right.
* Greater Undine Spirit: Shoots an Icebolt, a bolt made of ice, straight forward. This attack does the same amount of damage as the Mage's Firebolt.
Salamander
* Lesser Salamander Spirit: Releases a few flames in front of the Warlock that knock the opponent into the air for lethal burning Aerial damage. This attack can only be used at close range. To activate this, press Up-up fast enough to cancel a jump before it happens.
* Greater Salamander Spirit: Shoots a fireball at the target. This attack goes in an arc, so it can be used to hit monsters above and farther away from the warlock. The fireball does a large burst of damage when it first hits and stays for a few seconds to inflict painful burning damage on the enemy.
Warlocks also have some simple melee attacks.
Warlock's jumping attacks are changed into melee attacks in which she swings her Lamp from bottom to top, dealing two hits. She also has a second Jump attack in which she swings her Lamp forward once to deal more damage. To do this, press Down+Z while in the air.
Warlock's Dash attack is a simple two hit combo in which she swings her lamp then knocks enemies into the air. By pressing Up-Up (Salamander) at the end of this attack, you immediately attack with a Lesser Salamander Spirit, dealing additional aerial damage.
Warlocks do not have Meditation anymore, as it was a flaw to them. The Spirits can cover over the Meditation move by helping the Warlock cast powerful spells.
Unlike Arme's other jobs, Warlock does not have a selection between White and Black magic, so she can only cast 3 skills.
Black Magic
Lvl.1 Skill - Tornado [ Preview ]
(Grade 1) Warlock’s 1st grade attack enables the user to summon Sylph, the wind spirit that casts a powerful tornado on the ground. When an enemy is hit by the tornado, the enemy will be pushed back, and is immobilized for a short period.
* The immobilization effects of the tornado create a chance for the Warlock’s team to strike the enemy.
* This skill is especially effective in dangerous maps like the Gorge of Oath.
Lvl.2 Skill - Fire Ring [ Preview ]
(Grade 2) Warlock’s 2nd grade attack triples the user’s defense for 15 seconds. This skill doesn’t last long and repetitive use rapidly depletes MP.
* This skill makes Arme nearly invincible. This makes the Warlock able to match Elesis and other melee characters.
Lvl.3 Skill - Blizzard [ Preview ]
(Grade 3) Warlock’s 3rd grade attack summons a powerful blizzard around the caster to freeze enemies below and beside the caster.
* The Blizzard doesn’t cover the entire map, but it can be very effective at defeating groups of enemies at once.
* Blizzard has a similar effect to Petrification only it is a lot more dangerous.
* Damage from this skill can be greatly lessened by repeatedly pressing the left and right keys while frozen.
* Although it appears to have a wide range, it does not affect enemies above the caster. This skill affects anyone below the caster, but does not have infinite down range.

What is a Battle Mage?
Battle Mages hold the highest rank of the Royal Court Mages, standing at the front lines of battle casting powerful magic spells with their immense elemental powers. Arme earned the honorable title of Battle Mage from the Violet Mage Guild in recognition of her efforts to protect the Bermesiah Continent after emerging victorious from her conflicts with Kaze’aze and Dark Anmon.
Battle Mage Characteristics
Unlike Mages who fulfill dual roles of inflicting damage and providing support to allies, Battle Mages only specialize in overwhelming their enemies with powerful magic. Arme can combine her long-range and wide-range magic attack skills with the Warlock class’s specialty in melee attacks to devastating effect. Battle Mages are ideal for inflicting great damage over wide areas and at close range, but suffer from considerably low accuracy in long-range attacks, so they must employ different combat strategies according to each unique situation. Battle Mages also have a useful skill known as Teleport and other special abilities that are especially effective against long-range specialists like Archers.

The "Crest of the Grand Magus" is an item to represent the user as a "Battle Mage". This item needs to be acquired by getting Battle Mage during the Battle Mage Event.

Battle Mage Skills
General
Basically a fusion of Mage & Warlock.
Has some melee attacks.
Does not have any supportive skills, such as Magic Shield or Cure.
Has an Ice Shield, to deflect ranged attacks
Returns with Firebolt, but aims it diagonally. It can still be dangerous on targets below.
Also has Meditation.
However, in the Fatal Status, she loses that ability, probably because she uses her War Staff to lean upon, and gains her power from lifting the Staff, since the War Staff was made to absorb Mana.
Thanks to Battle Mage's Grab Animation, she can do an "Infinite Grab".
It is done by an another grab attempt after a grab.
Infinite Grab is legal, but extremely annoying. It is only banned in tournaments and by some of the community. It is rarely used since most Battle Mages do not need such a tactic to be victorious.
Battle Mage's damage is the most intense out of all 4th Jobs.
Black Magic
Lvl.1 Skill - Fire Bust [ Preview ]
Battle Mage’s 1st Grade Black Magic Attack allows Arme to create a flame wall to shield herself and destroy her enemies. Enemies in its path are pushed backward.
* It is possible to perform several combos after this, as it does not knock down enemies.
o Knock Down isn't entirely accurate, since it only takes a second or so to perform the falling.
Lvl.2 Skill - Shockwave Force [ Preview ]
Arme slams the end of her War Staff into the ground, creating a zone of lightning to emanate from the Earth and zap her enemies.
* The Shockwave has quite high vertical range.
* The Lightning Force is also a shield to protect the user from nearby targets with a massive amount of stunning.
Lvl.3 Skill - Deep Impact [ Preview ]
Summons a powerful meteor shower that inflicts great damage on an enemy, but lacks horizontal range, unlike Arme's 1st Job's Meteor.
* Deep Impact is like Meteor, but is limited to about 1 screen.
* The impact of each meteor does more damage than the meteor itself.
* Is much more difficult to counter than Meteor, as well as having a longer duration.
White Magic
Lvl.1 Skill - Ice Ball [ Preview ] Throws a snowflake at a target to inflict damage and freeze the target for 1 to 2 seconds.
* The snowflake has decent range and traveling speed.
* The freezing effect can be used to perform combos against the target.
Lvl.2 Skill - Freezing Spear [ Preview ]
Launch a target into the air by summoning a line of sharp icicles to instantly burst from the ground.
* The spear rolls along the floor, and moves at a pretty lethal speed.
* Since the spear doesn't rise up higher than a character, it can be jumped.
Lvl.3 Skill - Air Blast [ Preview ]
Summon a horizontal green wind to blast forward and wipe out enemies, with infinite range.
* Be warned that damage can depend on range. The closer, the more damage and the farther, the less damage.
* In addition, this skill takes 3 seconds to fully cast, so nearby characters can jump behind the user. As well, the skill makes a loud sound when casting.
